in corporate wellness programs, announces its subsidiary OMC Wellness reached a milestone in 2021, celebrating 25 years of improving employee health through its onsite health coaching programs and proprietary software solutions. Acquired by Wellness Workdays in 2018, OMC has a proven track record of lowering health risks, promoting cost savings and driving measurable health outcomes for employees. Coupled with Wellness Workdays’ strategic direction and innovative well-being programs, employers have access to a full suite of comprehensive wellness solutions that promote employee health, productivity and a culture of well-being.

"I would like to congratulate everyone at OMC Wellness. We are honored to celebrate this milestone and thankful to have accomplished so much in the past 25 years,” said Debra Wein, CEO of Wellness Workdays. “When OMC was founded in 1996, I don’t think anyone envisioned that employee well-being would become so critical to the success of each organization. Through our work, commitment and passion to promote employee wellness, we have improved the health of hundreds of thousands of employees. This is a tremendous achievement, and we want to thank our clients and partners for their support throughout the years.”

At the forefront of the employee wellness evolution, OMC’s innovative technology platform and onsite health coaching services have demonstrated that effective wellness programs are those that are measurable, build a supportive wellness culture and influence individual behavior change. Since its founding, OMC has experienced tremendous growth year over year and now serves clients across the country in a range of industries. The company’s high-touch, personalized services, which are based on best practices and research findings, ensure that every client receives physician-driven approaches backed by the science of behavior change to produce results for their organization.

Some of the highlights from the past 25 years include:

  • Growing OMC’s clients from two Maine-based employers in 1996 to hundreds of employers across the country and expanding the industries served to include financial services, construction, education, healthcare, law, manufacturing, retail and engineering.

  • Expanding OMC’s services utilizing proprietary health coaching software that services employers from Maine to California.

  • Cultivating a staff of highly-trained health coaches who are skilled in the art of motivational interviewing, behavior change and chronic condition management.

  • Helping clients achieve impressive results after implementing the OMC approach to wellness, including sustained employee participation levels of 85% or higher, helping 36% of employees move into the low-risk health category within one year and reducing the number of employees categorized as high-risk by 25% in the first year.

  • Winning awards from industry organizations for creating and implementing high-touch, comprehensive approaches to employee well-being, including the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Innovator Award, the Maine Biz “Next” Award, the Irv Masters Champion Leadership Award from the Wellness Council of Maine and a Platinum WELL Workplace Case study by WELCOA.

  • Being acquired by Wellness Workdays in 2018, an organization that shares OMC’s vision of a high-touch, outcomes-driven approach to wellness. The acquisition provided OMC’s highly-trained health coaches with an opportunity to utilize Wellness Workdays’ proprietary approach to population health management to deliver better health outcomes and ultimately, healthier employees.
