Anita Roach is the founder of the Safe & Sound Workplace Alliance and the author of Safe & Sound: Cultivating a Whole-human, Trauma-informed Approach for Employee and Employer Well-being. Anita has over 30 years of experience as a consultant, coach, and leader working for and consulting with professional services firms throughout the United States. She has guided teams in creating environments and processes where both people and profits flourish. Her work has included facilitating over $20 billion in project wins, leading successful brand transformations, and developing innovative approaches that prioritize both results and well-being. Anita’s passion for fostering whole-human, trauma-informed workplaces stems from her deep personal understanding of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. This lived experience, combined with her professional expertise and background in psychology, global leadership, and wellness, informs the research, frameworks, and strategies she shares to help organizations create Safe & Sound Workplaces.

Duane Jourdeans

Duane Jourdeans is a dynamic speaker, consultant, and educator specializing in emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and leadership development. As the founder of Upward Spiral Consulting, he helps organizations elevate workplace well-being, engagement, and performance through research-based strategies. His expertise has benefited clients such as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Target Center arena, various businesses, and educational institutions. With a background as an educator, state championship head coach, and counselor, Duane brings a unique blend of experience to his work, making complex concepts practical and impactful. A certified emotional intelligence practitioner through Genos International, he holds a bachelor’s degree in English Education and master’s degrees in Education and School Counseling. His workshops, assessments, and coaching have transformed leadership and culture across business, education, and professional sports.

CEO & Founder of Wellness Workdays 


Debra founded Wellness Workdays in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience working in the health and wellness industry. She is a nationally recognized expert on health and wellness designing award-winning programs for organizations across the country. She is also the Program Director of the Wellness Workdays Dietetic Internship, one of the largest nationally accredited programs in the United States, training future Registered Dietitians in the areas of worksite wellness and health promotion, nutrition and entrepreneurship, and nutrition communications and marketing. Debra holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in nutritional sciences and applied physiology from Cornell and Columbia Universities.

Lauren Desmond earned a Bachelor's degree in International Business and went on to teach English as a second language abroad for five years. She then decided to pursue a second career as a registered dietitian. Lauren earned a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition and completed a dietetic internship at Framingham State University. Lauren's background in business and experience teaching support her in creating and strategizing effective wellness programs for client partners. In her free time, she likes to cook, travel, and spend time outdoors.

Chris Guild, CHWC, MINT
Director of Training & Client Strategy, Wellness Workdays


Chris is the Director of Training and Client Accounts for OMC, A Wellness Workdays Company. He is responsible for the oversight of client company wellness programs from Maine to Florida and is also responsible for the training and development of health coaches with a specialty in teaching behavior change strategies. He is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and has trained teachers, law enforcement officers, and healthcare providers in behavior change strategies across the country. He has a passion for helping engage employees in changing at-risk health behavior, improving employees' quality of life, and workplace productivity.
